It’s almost July. Summer vacation is almost half over…not to burst your bubble or anything. Consider it a quick reality check from your friends here at Radiate.
Are you making the most of the season? Have you gotten good and sweaty hiking, biking or going to Six Flags? Have you coated yourself in sunscreen (because momma said so!) and headed to the pool or lake or beach for a day of fun in the water? Have you told your parents “I’m bored”? Have you eaten 20,471 snacks, sipped at least one sugary slush or torn open one of those popsicles in a plastic tube to savor that sweet, sugary goodness? Have you binge-watched your favorite show or had a movie marathon with friends? If not, it’s time to get busy. Enjoy your summer. Make some memories.
Since we’ve already arrived at the halfway point of summer, we want to celebrate a few awesome moments from June and look ahead to what’s coming up in July!
Collide Middle School Mission Camp: Did you know we took 90+ students and leaders on a mission trip this summer? They headed out to Orlando, FL at the beginning of June to share the good news of Jesus in that community. They led VBS, sang, and they got to grow deeper in their faith and have their own times of worship in the evening. We are so thankful for the ways God led this group and provided so many opportunities for them to minister in the area of Orlando. AND they finished their trip with a day at Universal Studios. This amazing group has definitely made some memories they will never forget.
Beach Camp: We took over 100 students to Beach Camp. They got to worship with Vertical Worship and Mosaic MSC and sit under the teaching of David Platt and Drew Worsham. The messages they heard were packed full of big truths! We learned that we need to have a high view of who God is and a serious view of our sin. We heard that Jesus is LIFE! And then we were commissioned to go and share that life with a person whose name we spoke out loud in the last service. Plus there were some fun times on the beach, at the pool, playing games and just getting to reconnect with old friends and make some new ones.
We also had all kinds of fun small events like going to the Braves game, a massive slip n’ slide, White Water and more. June has been a blast! And we don’t want you to miss out on any of the fun stuff we’ve got planned for July.
