We’re heading back to school and Radiate Students is kicking off the year with an all out Paint War! If you’re a middle or high school student, we want you to come! Here’s what you need to know:
Who? All Middle & High School Students
What is it? Paint War – lots of paint, lots of mess, loads of FUN!
When? Wednesday, August 2
What time? 7-8:30 PM
Where: Burnt HIckory Baptist Church – Meet on the Back Lawn
A few other questions you might have:
What do I need to bring?
- Bring a towel and change of clothes! We’ll have changing stations set up for you to change in.
- Goggles if you have them. We’ll have wet and dry paint for the paint war and goggles would be a great way to protect your eyes. Not required, but a definite plus!
- Make sure you have something to put your paint-covered clothes in. And you might want a trash bag to sit on so you don’t make a mess in the car.
- And bring a friend!!!
Will there be food?
Yep! We’ll have some food and drinks for y’all, so if you’re coming straight from practice or rehearsal, don’t worry about food! We’ve got you covered!
Is the paint safe?
Absolutely, although it’s a great idea to protect your eyes and we ask our students not to shoot it directly in someone’s face. Our liquid paint is the kind pre-schoolers paint with for their art projects, and our powder paint is Color Blaze paint made specifically for Color Runs or Holi celebrations. You won’t be dyed purple for a week or anything crazy like that. But if you breathe in a lot of color powder paint, you might have blue boogers for a couple of days.
What should students wear?
We recommend dark clothes that you don’t mind getting messy. The paints are washable but they may leave a little trace of color on light clothing.
